Dr. TAKASAKI Yohsuke, MD, PhD, ScM, MPA, MBA, FRSM

AI physician-scientist・連続起業家・元厚生労働省医系技官・医師・医学博士・ハーバード大学理学修士・ケンブリッジ大学MBA・コロンビア大学行政修士。
岡山大学医学部卒業後、内科・地域医療に従事。厚生労働省入省、医療情報技術推進室長、医療国際展開推進室長、救急・周産期医療等対策室長、災害医療対策室長等を歴任。文部科学省出向中はライフサイエンス、内閣府では食の安全、内閣官房では医療分野のサイバーセキュリティを担当。国際的には、JICA日タイ国際保健共同プロジェクトのチーフ、WHOインターンも経験。
退官後は、日本大手IT企業にて保健医療分野の新規事業開発や投資戦略に携わり、英国VCでも実務経験を積む。また、複数社起業し、医療DX・医療AI、デジタル医療機器開発等に取り組むほか、東京都港区に内科クリニックを開業し、社外取締役としても活動。
現在、大阪大学大学院医学系研究科招へい教授、岡山大学研究・イノベーション共創機構参事、ケンブリッジ大学ジャッジ・ビジネススクールAssociate、広島大学医学部客員教授として、学術・教育・研究に従事。あわせて、医療者のための医療AI教室「Medical AI Nexus」を主宰。

AI Physician-Scientist | Serial Entrepreneur | Public Health Leader
A distinguished AI physician-scientist, serial entrepreneur, and former senior medical officer at Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW). His multifaceted expertise is backed by an M.D., a Ph.D. in Medical Science, a Master of Science (SM) from Harvard University, an MBA from the University of Cambridge, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Columbia University.
Dr. TAKASAKI Yohsuke began his career as a physician in internal medicine and community healthcare after graduating from Okayama University Medical School. He then transitioned to public service, joining the MHLW, where he held a series of key directorial positions. His leadership roles included Director for the Promotion of Medical Information Technology, Director for the International Expansion of Medical Services, Director for Emergency and Perinatal Care, and Director for Disaster Medical Response. His governmental experience extended to critical assignments at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) focusing on life sciences, the Cabinet Office addressing food safety, and the Cabinet Secretariat tackling cybersecurity in the medical field. Internationally, he served as the Chief for a JICA joint project on global health between Japan and Thailand and interned at the World Health Organization (WHO).
After an impactful career in government, he transitioned to the private sector. He spearheaded new healthcare business development and investment strategies for a major Japanese IT corporation and gained hands-on experience at a UK-based venture capital firm. As a serial entrepreneur, he has since founded multiple companies dedicated to advancing healthcare through Medical DX (Digital Transformation), AI, and the development of digital medical devices. He also established and runs an internal medicine clinic in Minato-ku, Tokyo, and serves as an external board member for several companies.
Currently, Dr. Takasaki is deeply engaged in academia and research. He holds appointments as an Invited Professor at Osaka University’s Graduate School of Medicine, a Senior Advisor at Okayama University’s Organization for Research and Innovation, an Associate at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, and a Visiting Professor at Hiroshima University’s Faculty of Medicine. He is also the founder and lead instructor of “Medical AI Nexus,” an educational platform dedicated to teaching medical professionals about AI.
He is a Board Certified Senior Specialist in Social Medicine and a distinguished Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (FRSM).
